Music can teach when words fail. Combining words and music creates beautiful opportunities for children to learn things they will always remember. When music and gospel lessons are combined, young minds are enlightened and able to fully understand gospel messages. However, this can often be a challenge that requires early preparation and more communication and cooperation among teachers.

Sharing Through Song helps accomplish this by combining music time and lesson time through 25 easy-to-prepare lessons. Each one includes a list of materials, necessary preparations, teaching suggestions, and songs to help children learn the gospel principles outlined in the 2005 Primary Theme: I Will Follow God's Plan for Me. This book will help make teaching children more effective and fun!

Alison Palmer is a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She graduated from Marshall University with a bachelor's degree in nursing. Alison stopped practicing nursing after several years to raise and home school her children.

Over the years, Alison has held many callings in the Church, including several that have helped develop her great love for Primary children.
