     Kurt's mom told him the story of a very good man in the Bible named Moses. He was a great leader who led a group of people called the Israelites out of Egypt to the Promised Land where they could be free.

After a while the Israelites became wicked and were doing things they should not do. Moses was very unhappy about the way his people were acting, so he went up on a mountain and prayed for help. In answer to his prayers God gave him the Ten Commandments.

The Ten Commandments tell us what to do to live good lives and to be really happy. We should follow the Ten Commandments today just the same as the people did in Moses' day.
