     It's exciting when a master storyteller spins a tale, and few can tell a story better than Terry Moyer! In Have I Got a Story for You! Brother Moyer tells 19 interesting stories. Seven of them were previously published in The New Era; another was published in Nevada magazine, so he's no neophyte--his storytelling credentials are well established. Each tale has a subtle moral, which he introduces in a brief paragraph or two before the story begins.

     To Fly Like a Bird deals with a young boy seeking answers to prayer. An Author Card for Cindie describes how a young girl, striving to be anxiously engaged in a good cause, became a published author by submitting names from tombstones to the Genealogical Society. Sparrow is the account of how a Spirit-led seminary teacher was able to talk to and calm a tiny sparrow so he could catch it and release it from a building into which it had flown. Marching Out of Clyde Lake in Style is about the attitudes of young women who had a long hike out from their girls' camp. Sterling Silver is a tale of overcoming temptation and maintaining personal integrity.

     Other choice stories are The Book of Verna (work), The Dirt That Soap Can't Reach (keeping our thoughts clean), Draft Horses (the joy of working), Evolution of a Working Hypothesis (keeping an open mind), One Blank-Blank Too Many (resisting profanity), and The Ugly Orphans (the sanctity of life). Still other fun stories are Fire Cook (morality), Purple Cakes (love and patience), The Merit Badge (going the extra mile), A Voice in the Fog (listening to the promptings of the Spirit), Hippies in the Desert (judging others), Add a Little More Truckee (respect for parents), Five Nights in Montana (doing more than we dreamed we could do), and Parents Are For the Byrds (living with parents). Great, memorable, meaningful stories-a great book!
